The edge of the universe?

The gray man froze in place.

For a brief length of his lifetime, he stood there brooding.

Alas, his wrinkled hands jerked toward the Nothing.

For the death of him, he could not grab hold.

With every inch gained--an inch expanded.

His knees buckled.

The 80 year old child lay crying, crawling, and clawing due to his mind's constant gnawing.

With a Big Bang, the final beat of his heart resonated across the universe.

Had anyone stopped to listen, they would experience quite the magnificent symphony coming from all corners of existence.

Why reach for the Nothing when it is already doing its damnedest to reach you first?

Hmmmm. The No Thing (nothing) could be, in fact, "Source". It is no thing because it is at once no thing and everything. And, being non material can not possibly be a "thing".

When you have a strong connection to "Source" you have nothing (physical), but everything that really matters. Source is always trying to be in touch; humans block the connection with their always busy and confused "gnawing mind".

This is kind of "Waiting for Godot" with a yet more "cosmic" perspective.
